This private water stretch is surrounded by private properties, so fish in the area remain unpressured.
The North property of water is a fed by a natural spring on the private property just north. The property has marshes for water filtration and improves the habitat for the smaller fry and sculpins in the area. A small stream rolls out of the march creating a healthy deep trench on the western side of the river where brown trout may tuck into cooler water on warm summer days or stay hidden to prey on smaller fish traveling around the river. The river then bends sharply eastward creating a nice pocket where the owner has an access easement to also fish.
On the Southern Property the owner owns both sides of the water which includes an island in the middles of the stretch creating a nice diverse setup for anglers. Lush vegetation cover the banks which encourage hoppers and terrestrials. The entire run is approximately 1000’ long bordering Southern Ute Lands and features large hatches April through November.
The Massive Hole is on the eastern side of the North Property, so book the combo for a full day of big trout on the line for you and your buddies.
