Dolores River Fishing – Dolores, Colorado
The Silence Ranch
The Silence Ranch
Dolores River fishing at its finest on this shady oasis on the water.
Fishing the Dolores River on this 700-foot stretch of river provides anglers with solid fishing year-round. This section of the river that bi-sects the property has many unique geologic features that hold browns and rainbows. A beach and a nice riverside deck sit in the shade where you can take a break and relax.
You’ll also notice a long rock shelf protruding diagonally across the river, creating a wonderful little waterfall that feeds into a long hole. This section is also stocked regularly. Expect the most action with stoneflies and caddis.
A Bit of History
In addition to a recently constructed main home, the Silence’s have resided here since 2005 in a log cabin which dates back to 1960. Many other improvements have been made on the ranch, including a waterside deck with stairs to access the river. This spot is a wonderful place to have lunch or read a book throughout the day.
